Ahh.. 2015..

I can't believe it's 2015.  Where is time going? Part of me is loving that time is flying right now, because it's the middle of winter and just miserably cold in Chicago.  I'm already anxious for spring and to walk to work without having to bundle up before I leave the house.  The other half of my is just so sad that time is moving this quickly - it is making me feel so old!

The past few weeks have been jam packed with holiday activities and traveling to AZ again with my family.  Between my family and K's family we were nonstop for a few weeks. It was great to get to have some time off work and relax.  And I just love how cozy our apartment gets with all of our Christmas decorations.  It makes our small apartment feel the perfect size of cozy with the Christmas tree next to the couch.

As much as I loved the holidays - I have to admit I am a little relieved to get back into a routine.  We are headed to Honduras with friends in March and it is definitely going to be perfect timing. It was still be freezing cold in Chicago and it gives us something to look forward to after all of these holidays and time off. I'm trying to get into a good workout routine for the next few months before Honduras.  I'll try to keep you posted on how it goes - it will definitely be consisting of less cardio and more weight training!

A few things I'm loving lately..

- I think my hair is actually getting long.. finally.. yes - I've been growing it out for like 10 years.  I hardly ever straighten it anymore so when I finally did straight it it looks so long!

- Lego advent calendar.. what a fun way to get excited for the holidays!

- My new iPhone 6!  I have been wanting to update my phone for months. I love the fingerprint identification!  Can't wait to update my picture quality for my blog :)

This Friday I have my holiday party for work.  I still have no idea what I am going to wear.  It is a "happy hour" from 5-8 at a nice hotel downtown.  K's holiday party is on the same night so we won't be able to go to each other's which will definitely be a bummer.  It will be my first holiday party at my new company and I'm already a little nervous!  Any tips on what to wear?!  The rest of the weekend will hopefully be spent relaxing and hibernating from the cold!
