September Goals Recap

I made a few goals at the start of September that I wanted to recap on how successful I was at achieving.
Oral Health - I had a lot of room for improvement when I can up with the goal.  I probably flossed every other week so I'm sure that I improved - I am just not sure the extent that I improved.  I probably flossed a few times a week.  So I would say that this was a great start.  Definitely a habit worth continuing to work on.
Flexibility - This has been a goal of mine for a long time.. probably since the new year.  I had a couple of long runs this month that really tightened my legs.  I definitely continued to stretch most night, but I have to admit I don't think I stretched anymore this month than I did last month. This is going to have to be an ongoing long term goal.  It is definitely going to need work in October, because of the marathon.
Reading - Success! I read the wook Dark Places by Gillian Flynn ( The same author as Gone Girl)  Dark Places was a really intense book and definitely a page turner.  I woul dprobably describe it as a murder mystery, but a bit depressing for my liking.  I also am over half way done with the book Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg which has been a lot better than I was expecting.
Nutrition - Well I didn't go gluten free.. not even for a day. I think I have been eating more healthy, especially these last few weeks leading up to the marathon.  It is kind of hard, because I am always so hungry! I may have to roll this goal to the following month.  I am hoping after my metabolism slows down a little after the marathon that I will be able to change my diet a little better. I am now attributing my low energy to the fact that I am running so match rather than from eating bad.

I am currently working on some October Goals, but I'm not sure if they are going to be as intense, because really I just want to finish this marathon with a good time and then take a week off to rest and recharge.  And that will take up pretty much half the month.
